SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

 

Platinum Direct Hire Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Senior Accountant with CPA Designation preferred, in the Windsor/Essex area. Experience working in a public accounting firm a definite plus!

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

 

• 4 years relevant accounting experience required

• Experience working in a public accounting firm a definite asset

• Proficient preparing notice to reader financial statements

• Complete T4, T4A and T5 tax slips

• Preparation and completion of both corporate and personal tax returns

• US and cross border tax preparation experience required

• Provides advice on strategies to minimize taxes owed while staying

  • within the scope of the law and regulations

 

• Assist with overall management and daily activities of the accounting division

• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and training

• Bookkeeping duties such as bank reconciliations, payroll, and HST remittances

• Prepare and review a variety of financial statements

• Experience working with QuickBooks Online, Intuit ProFile and Wagepoint

• Proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite

• Able to work with minimum supervision

• Must have a valid drivers license and your own transportation

• Must be able to work from the office

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or a relatable Finance program

• CPA Designation preferred

 

SALARY:

 

• Starting at $55000+/year depending on experience
